(Poem) “Your Words Still Hold Weight”
“Your Words Still Hold Weight” by Poetry Cue
Words of extraordinary…
You taught us that freedom should be ordinary…
Opening our minds to realize that freedom is the right to decline… or decide… you showed us that
freedom comes with a fine… It is only free to the blind… You are free when you say no to unlawful binds… The real cage is in the mind… Malcolm and X your voice still shines… You said to us that freedom is not defined by being even to the oppressor… but to be free from the oppressor… to own your land without the views of the aggressor…
to be free also comes with pressure… Choose the pain you treasure…
