To gain a friend I gave a quarter
to lose a friend I asked for a quarter
to gain a friend we built a house

Poetry is a form of expression. These expressions can include any thought, feeling, or state of being. Poetry has many definitions that are similar in nature. One definition of poetry is writing involving metaphorical or figurative language that has rhythm and at times rhyme. Another definition of poetry is writing that creates imaginative awareness of experience organized to spark a specific emotional response. Moreover, this is done through meaning, sound, and rhythm. Therefore, a person who writes poetry is considered a poet. All poetry here at Poetry Cue are great examples of poetry. This particular poem is Titled: Friends vs Friendships. Many writers are activists and are inspired because they feel the need to speak out. Writing poetry has many Genres to choose from.
